[WS] Lua Bone Sockets#146

This is an issue that affects maybe 7 people worldwide but I still think it’s worth asking anyway, since at worst it would result in more quality workshop content.

Maypul’s special pummel sticks Poppy to an opposing character, by creating an article that copies a parent bone’s location and rotation, and stays attached to that character’s body as they move around. Basically, I want to be able to do this.

Unfortunately, there are no systems currently exposed to Lua that can be used to make this happen. The most I can see is the location of a specific bone in global space, but I can’t see that bone’s rotation nor will an article teleporting to that bone face the other way when that character turns around. Even if I could make something that kinda sorta worked, it would be incredibly over-engineered compared to just setting a bone as a transform parent.

I think creating a Lua Poppy would be greatly helpful for workshoppers, because in addition to allowing custom characters to stick custom stuff onto other characters, it also enables a new kind of item: Wearables, that can give some passive benefit or detriment without needing to be held but still appearing visually somewhere on your character. (The reason I’m writing this is because I’m making a wearable item right now and haven’t been able to create a fake socket system with the methods available.)

tl:dr Pretty Please Ather Studios let me staple stuff to Fleet so I can finish my war criminal item that turns airdodges into airdashes
