Honestly, one of the most frusturating expreinces I’ve had as of late is fighting Zetterburn. I hate this character so much. He’s fast, has good aerials that can be safe on shield for whatever reason, a pretty decent recovery despite it being based off Fox’s (And for anyone who is rushing to the comments, Fox’s and Zetterburns recoveries are different from one another. I feel like you can easily edgeguard Fox, but Zetterburn it’s harder), has a kill throw (under certain circumstances, yes, but it doesn’t remove the fact that he has a kill throw despite already having a bunch of other good kill moves), and I can go on and on about the moves I absolutely despise from this character, but I will be here all day.
This character has gotten a few nerfs this year, and they feel like they just don’t do anything to this character. If you’re going to nerf Zetter or any other character with explosive power how about a few more nerfs?
Yeah, Zetterburn is a rushdown character, but someone like Olympia, who is the same archetype is not nearly as explosive from what I can feel and her recovery is actually really good, but only when you know how to use it well, and even then sometimes it’s really easy to edgeguard her.
There are so many things I want to be done about Zetterburn. I can list a number of nerfs here, now of course I don’t want to just gutter the character just SOMETHING to actually tone him down. Like reducing the distance of his Up-B, making him slower, heck, you can even more stages that is close to Harbor (I say this because walls aren’t easy to get to on this map which reduces tech central) to shadow nerf him…just SOMETHING.
I know there are going to be people here that are going to say that ‘he isn’t busted’ but in my opinion this character is probably the most explosive in the game and the characters are supposedly suppose to be around the same power level as Zetter. Honestly the only character in this game that’s probably as equally as explosive is Clarien or La Reina (specifically her checkmate situations, nothing else).
There are probably other characters that could fall under the catergory of being micro nerfed and the nerfs not doing anything, but Zetterburn really strikes out to me.
