Currently, if the editor crashes during a publish, files are left in a state that the user has to manually move them back to where they belong. If you don’t know this, and you just try to publish again, your stuff gets wiped. That’s a Real Bad.
The first step of publishing should create a lock file, and the last step should delete it. If the lock file exists, then publishing should not be allowed to begin, and a suitable message should be displayed.

Had lots of folks coming through the discord during this that nearly lost all their files, I think this is a great solution.
For anyone that thinks they lost their files:
That should restore the ModKit to a point where you can work on your character in Unreal Again.
If that doesn’t work, deleting the “Saved” and “Intermediate” folders in the R2Kit\Project folder has worked for me in the past.
If you imported your files into unreal, but your character still isn’t loading properly, then check your character’s CD file. There’s a chance that you’ll have to re-input every animation, attack, material slot, etc. The CD file, the Palette files, and any Articles or Mesh Effects that you have might also need to have some of their variables re-input as well.
Good luck!
