New cosmetic: Crowd SFX like Smash#99
La Reina has her crowd and Ole’s on her grabs and they are so hype and it feels like a missed opportunity to not have one for the whole cast. The wolf howl kill screen is the closest we have that i remember, but having a crowd separate from the kill screen offers more customization and more ways to make revenue.
I know there are concerns that copy pasting the crowd on every spark/purple screen would make her feel less special, but that could be remedied with re-recorded crowd for La Reina to better fit Mexican wrestling.
Crowd sfx could include variable levels of the crowd reacting to things happening in game, with more expensive crowds having more situational reactions, such as: purple Sparks, strong spikes, gasping from near deaths, techs near the blast zone, parries, combos more than 5 hits, offstage shenanigans with more than 5 hits, more than 3 offstage techs in a row, purple screens, last stock purple screens, SDs, last stock situations where they’re both above 100%, stage transitioning on last stock.
Other ideas for purchasable crowd sfx:
normal crowd like la Reina: just cheers, gasps, nothing crazy
robot/mech inspired crowds: I imagine a lot of beeps and whirling noises like when R2D2 or a transformer gets excited and loud
US smash tournament inspired crowd: really common at tournaments to hear “AYE….AYE…AYE” during a hype combo on last stock. Hearing “OH OH…OHHHHHHHHH”!!! And you could just get the dev team to record themselves popping off and combine the audio together, or commission homemade waffle lol
French inspired crowd: I don’t think that one commentator does it anymore, but that “ooh la la”/“Ololo” he used to do was iconic
Classroom crowd: inspired from the Halo grunt headshot celebration with the kids going “Yayyyyyy”
Mire (and gouie)/spooky crowd: them laughing together at the end of the trailer was always so fun to me. Hearing them cheer and roar would be cute and dope.
Wrestling/luchador theme: self explanatory. Could have on a purple spark “1….2…..awww” as if he’s kicking out of the pin. Have the ding ding ding at the end of final stock
Rivals voice cast crowd: get all the voice actors to all pop off together. Solo voice actors might be cool, but I think it might accidentally be toxic if the character ends up sounding haughty or mean like lox
Crappy mic crowd: moments like the wombo combo wouldn’t be nearly as funny if not for the low quality mic. A peaking mic would be hilarious
Old school Microsoft crowd: low quality text to speech voice
YouTuber voices: alpharad
Basketball/sports crowd: I imagine that one basketball commentator “BANG!!!!” And the chants you hear, such as “Let’s go Rockets dun-dun-dundundun“, the baseball jingle, “TOUCHDOWNN!!!!”, “GOALLLLLLLLL”, vuvuzuelas like during that Brazil World Cup
